Snippit recognizes the importance of your privacy. We strive to be open and straightforward and to keep you informed with respect to your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share your information when you access, use, or otherwise interact with our services, including our mobile applications (the "App") and our websites (collectively, the "Service"). Your information includes any content, information, or other material that you post to or through the Service (collectively, "User Content").

This Privacy Policy discloses how and when we collect your information, the choices available to you regarding our use of your personal information, and how you can access and update your information. This Privacy Policy is to be read in connection with our Terms of Service ("Terms"), available at If you have any questions concerning this Privacy Policy, please email us at

Regardless of your country of residence, you authorize the transfer and use of your information in the United States, where your personal information will be subject to United States law, and any other country where Snippit operates. If you reside outside the United States, please note that the level of protection available under United States law may be different from the country in which you reside.

The Service is not directed to children under 13 years of age. Snippit does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that your child provided Snippit with personal information without your consent, please contact us at If we become aware that a child under 13 provided us with personal information, Snippit takes reasonable steps to remove such information and terminate the child's account.

2. Information we Collect

We collect the following information to provide you with the Service as well as to support the best overall experience for all users. The Service collects information you provide when you download the App and register for the Service, post content on or through the Service, and utilize other features of the Service ("user provided information"), and also collects certain information automatically ("automatically collected information"). This may include two types of information (1) personal information and (2) non-personal information. Personal information can be directly associated with or identify you as a specific person, whereas non-personal information does not, by itself, identify you. In general, we do not collect personal information unless you voluntarily provide it to us.

User provided information:

Account Information.

When you register for the Service, you are required to provide personal information such as your name, username, and email address. We also require that you provide us with your birthday, which we use to verify your age. This information may personally identify you and we list some of this information publicly on the Service. For example, your name and username are included on your profile page and in search results. Keep in mind that some features of the Service do not require registration.

User Content and Additional Information You Share.

You may provide additional information when you choose to share on or through the Service. This includes profile information such as your description and photo, as well as User Content posted on or through the Service, including audio, images, comments, location information, and other material, i.e., User Content. By default, all sharing through the Service is public and this public information is both broadly and instantaneously disseminated. Your public profile information and public User Content may be delivered to a wide range of users and services. Providing this additional information including User Content is entirely optional.

Information Others Share.

Others users may provide information when they choose to share User Content on or through the Service that includes your username in connection with a post (i.e. "tag" you in a post).

Other Information We Receive About You.

We receive information through various features of the Service to help you find the people you know and to connect you to other services. For example, you may choose to upload information from your contacts or to connect your Snippit account to another service such as Facebook® or Twitter®. Snippit will match the information you provide with the contact information provided by other users. When you connect your Snippit account to another service, you may post your User Content to that service. You may disconnect your Snippit account from your other services at any time. When you disconnect your other account, we will delete information obtained from that connection other than publicly posted User Content.

Location information.

Features of the Service make use of user-enabled location services. We collect or share location information only with your permission. If you allow location services, we may collect, use, or store your precise geographic location. We will collect information including data on cell towers and WiFi routers in your proximity. In general, most devices will indicate when location services are operating by showing an icon. You may choose to publish your location in User Content posted on or through the Service and on your profile. You always have the ability to control the location services. We do not use or share your location information to identify you or for any other purpose.

Automatically collected information:

We may collect information on how you access and interact with the Service, including administrative services such as email notifications and third-party services. We collect and use this information to improve the quality of our Service.

We may use cookies and similar technology to improve your experience. Cookies are small files that websites place on your computer while you browse the web. We use cookies to discover how you use the Service. You can use the Do Not Track preference of your browser to disable collection of this information.
